On April 23, 2021, at the HCWA Office, “Prevention and Protection of Child Abuse” Project Management Committee met with the Standing Coordination Committee in District 8 and Binh Chanh (including the Deputy Head and Childlife Specialist of District DOLISA) to assess the result in 1st quarter of 2021 and initiate several critical tasks in the 2nd quarter. The meeting was also attended by project coordinators and network managers.
After discussion and finalization of Quarter 1 activities result, Project Management Committee and District Standing Coordination Committee have agreed upon the plan for Quarter 2 2021. In addition to frequent activities, the following will be in focus in the next 3 months:
1. Scout and admit disadvantaged children, at-risk children at the localities into our intervention and support program.
2. Finalize the content and format for some children activities in celebration of Children’s Day June 1st and the Actions for Children Month in 2021.
3. Initiate trainings, outreach programs to business owners, teachers, law enforcement and all employees at HCWA to increase awareness of children’s rights.
4. Expand media coverage of the program at the two districts.
HCWA Project Management Committee has also consulted coordinators from the two districts about city general guidelines for child protection work, which lay solid foundation for upcoming child protection joint programs between local authorities and project team with aims to admit more disadvantaged children into our programs while staying under budget.
