Covid-19 has unfortunately come back, causing major disruptions to Vietnam’s economy. In order to help poor families through these tough times, The HCMC Child Welfare Association has made great efforts to mobilize resources from the community and local businesses to help support them. Since August 12th, The HCWA has cooperated with the People’s Committee and the DOLISA in District 8 and Binh Chanh District to implement milk donation services kindly sponsored by Nutifood Company.
In Ward 7 and Ward 16 of District 8, 120 cartons of milk were handed over to the 200 children who are the beneficiaries of the “Child abuse prevention and protection in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam” project.
In 16 communes and towns of Binh Chanh district, 127 boxes of milk were given to children experiencing extremely difficult circumstances.
Although wearing masks, the children could not hide their innocent smiles whilst receiving support from the organizers. This vital emergency support has contributed to nourishing and energizing our children and their families during the long battle against the pandemic.
