Within the framework of operation of the project “Protection of Children against the Risks of HIV/AIDS Infection in Tan Thuan Tay Ward, District 7” in 2019, funded by Terre des Hommes Germany; the project, in cooperation with the People’s Committee of Tan Thuan Tay Ward, provided scholarships (the total value of VND 31,250,000) to 50 underprivileged children with a view to keeping them in school.
This is an annual activity organized at the beginning of the new school year, which helps to encourage all pupils to be more confident at school.
In addition, the project management committee enlisted the support of various governmental organizations/mass organizations of District 7 (Office of Labor-Invalids and Social Affairs, Youth Union, the Association of Veterans and Voluntary Cultural Association) to give 10 bicycles (the total value of VND 16,000,000) to 10 underprivileged children. The beautiful bicycles help the children to go to school on time.
